Grandville Public Schools is proud to announce that all seven of our elementary schools, along with Grandville Middle School, have been named to the prestigious U.S. News & World Report list of Best Schools for 2025. This is an unprecedented achievement for our district, reflecting the commitment of our educators, students and families.
Earlier this year, Grandville High School was also named to the U.S. News list. With this latest recognition, our middle school and all of our elementary schools have now joined the ranks of Michigan’s best. Grandville's new school for grades 5-6, Oakestown Intermediate, was not included in the rankings. Because it opened this fall, it did not have enough data for this year's evaluation, but we look forward to the school being recognized in future rankings as it continues to grow and develop.
This honor recognizes schools that excel in state proficiency tests and demonstrate strong performance relative to their socioeconomic context. U.S. News' methodology focuses on state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in mathematics and reading/language arts while accounting for student backgrounds, achievement in core subjects and how well schools are educating their students. K-8 schools in the top 40% qualify for recognition. Our schools were in the top 5% to 35%.
Being named "A 2025 U.S. News Best School" is a testament to the quality of education provided at each of our schools, and we're especially grateful for the ongoing support of our community.
As we move forward, we remain committed to ensuring that all students in Grandville have the opportunity to succeed, and we look forward to continuing this journey of excellence in education!
